Isle Of Gigha Heritage Trust

Seven miles long by a mile and a half wide, Gigha is situated three miles west of the Kintyre peninsular, approximately three hours drive from the City of Glasgow.  Gigha is breathtaking - sandy beaches, clear green seas, a host of wildlife. There are also Achamore Gardens to explore. This website can only be introduction to Gigha - you have to visit to appreciate its beauty and tranquillity.

With a beautiful hotel, self-catering cottages and many B&B options to choose from, Gigha offers the perfect getaway from it all break.  Since the community buyout in 2002 the island has gone from strength to strength with a growing population that is sustainably developing its local economy.

Wind turbines that generate income for the local economy, a housing refurbishment programme that is providing high quality accomodation for residents, increasing local business activity and a forward looking Trust with directors elected from the island leading the way - Gigha really is moving forward.
